He has soft fair skin and black eyes his hair is shaggy and well kept it normally is combed so it will stay out of his eyes. His face is well shaven with no visible marks or scars. Alan stands around five foot and nine inches and has a rather slim build. Though there is a bit of muscle on him he has more of an athletic runners build apposed to the buff and strong build you will see on a well trained security officer. Combined with a soft smile on his face and a slight sense of reassurance about him he has a general appearance that tends to make people comfortable around him.
Personality
Alan is an enigma for most people within this time line he tends to be quiet and rather polite. He is never one to shout out or crave attention and tends to be the guy minding his own business in a large social event. He is not the talkative type but he is a listener and is good at it. Combined with a quick mind and a sensitive empathy for others he is good at giving people advice. He has a nurturing nature which makes him good at what he does. He likes to help people and sees it more as a life style then being stuck in a job.
Alan is very polite and is someone you can rely on. If he makes a promise he keeps it and tends to be shy around women at times. Not to the point though to be incapable of holding a conversation but he tends to sometimes stutter or have a sudden sense of klutziness. Added though when he is working he has great attention to detail combined with a strong work ethic. He is someone you can rely on to get something done. Though his quietness is common he is not afraid to voice what his thought is in a given situation and he really is a sweet heart. He tends not to be the one to hurt people and is known for being a none violent and sees violence as a last resort but he is willing to defend him self if he is forced to. Over all traits combined with a quick mind makes him an important and reliable asset in any job he is given. He is also a genius.

He is one of the rare Human / Betazoid hybrids who inherited the gift of Empathy. He has the same gifts as Deana Troi.
History
Well it began with being born to two loving parents on the USS Odessa a ship that his mother and father have served on for most of there Career. It is a Science vessel which is sent to investigate odd gravitational phenomenon. Not being much of a Warship it has not seen to many battles but the few it has left it still alive and only a few scratches. His mother was originally the first Mate of the ship and his father was once a petty medical officer. But they raised Alan in a loving environment and he found him self getting along with the kids on the ship.
Something was odd about him though unlike his mother and father he knew how things worked naturally. This began to manifest when he was around eight years old where he began to research how code worked. He played around with general programming until he began to gain more broader interests. He wanted to know how things fit together and wanted to know everything there was to know about mechanical items. He found him self taking apart computers and reassembling them to his specifications. He became good and knowing how things work and even assisted the engineering staff until he got accepted into Starfleet.
He took classes in the small learning center on the Odessa and found him self being accepted into Starfleet at the at the age of Sixteen. His family was proud and Starfleet was surprised of how bright and eager he was. A year later his brother Marshal was born. Happy to have a younger brother and enjoying his time in the Starfleet Academy in San Francisco he became one of the top of his class. Finding him self taking a path within engineering he finished his training and found him self serving on Starbase 1 for several years as a Cadet until he was positioned on the USS Archimedes. He is currently serving as an Engineering officer his first real time to shine and show how much he really knew about these gadgets. By the time the transfer went through he was serving as a ensign on Starbase 1.
Alan is new to the Archimedes crew and is still getting used to the whole system not knowing many of his fellow Starfleet Officers. Quiet and yet to engage many of them he is getting used to his new surroundings and who knows what the final frontier will have in store for him.
