Bella is a beautiful woman, a fortunate mix of Orion and human. She tends to keep her hair long, but has been known to cut it at a whim. Her hair is a deep rich auburn. She got her hair from her mother’s side. Her eyes are a deep brown. When she looks into your eyes she seems as though she is peering into your very being. Naturally her skin is a pale green color, a trait she gained from her father. She usually “bleaches” it in an attempt to blend in better. She has “bleached” since before she entered high school. She had been teased so bad in her previous school that she was determined to not let the same thing happen there. She moves with a grace and elegance that almost betrays her true origins. When off duty she tends to wear clothing that is loose. Sometimes, when she is the mood, she will wear more form fitting clothes. She dresses like this when she is on the prowl. She also has a small heart shaped tattoo, in a place that only the lucky get to see. In it is the name Kaelan.

Personality

When Bella is on duty she is cool, calm, and confident. She knows how to be a good officer, and does well to control her Orion side. When she is off duty she almost seems like a different person. She is relaxed and casual. She will also flirt shamelessly with just about anyone. She will not take it all the way, usually. She is your standard command type woman. She is competitive almost to the point that it can ruin relationships. And, she is known to be an aggressive woman. She knows what she wants, and when she sets something as her target, she will almost always get it. She can sometimes be spontaneous, and is more than willing to do anything once.

Hobbies and Interests

Bella loves to dance. She loves to dance more than anything. She started doing ballet as a little girl, and moved on to other forms of dance as she got older. She also enjoys martial arts, especially the more dance like ones. The officers of the Bismarck got her hooked on poker. She will miss the weekly, sometimes nightly, games. She has found that she enjoys cooking, when the mood strikes her. She is usually up for anything.

History

Bella was born to Olyvia Cerne in 2350 on board the USS Draco, an ambassador class starship. The Draco rescued Olyvia and many other slaves being held in a camp by Orions. Upon arriving on the Draco she was given a medical exam, just like every other person from the camp. It was here she was informed that she was 2 months pregnant. She wasn’t sure what to do, and had no family to go home to. She was in the lounge pondering her future when she met Petty Officer Warren Morton. They instantly fell in love, and after 3 months they were married. Four months later, before the Draco returned to Earth, Bella was born. Warren instantly accepted Bella as his own even though she was green. Warren resigned from Starfleet after arriving to Earth. He and his new family settled in London. There he joined the family restaurant as the head cook.

Bella’s childhood was not an easy one. Though she had the love of her family, including a baby brother, those that weren’t family couldn’t accept her for what she was. Others did not seem to like her because she was part Orion. She was forced to endure much teasing and prejudice. One of the few joys she had in life was dancing. At first her mother wasn’t sure if it was a good idea, but what Bella wants Bella gets.

On here twelfth birthday she begged her parents to let her “bleach” her skin. She wanted so bad to fit in to her new school. It took a lot of begging and persuading but they finally gave in. Life at her new school was much easier than her last. They didn’t know what she was. It wasn’t until she hit puberty that the benefit of being part Orion became evident. Her pheromones finally kicked in. She became the most popular girl in school. All the boys were so intrigued by her. It was then that she learned how to manipulate men into giving her what she wanted. The combination of pheromones and her good looks was powerful. Though the pheromones themselves weren’t as strong as a full blood Orion female, they still did the trick. High school went well. She had many boyfriends, and was popular. It was during her time in high school that her aggressiveness and competitiveness came out. Her step father had suggested taking up Aikido, and she found she loved the fluid almost dance like movements of it. She found that she was quite good at it and picked it up rather quickly. With her new found love of Aikido she decided to try some sports. She found she enjoyed anything outdoors, or that was rather physical.

In 2368 Bella joined the Starfleet Academy. It seemed like the right choice. She didn’t join for any altruistic reason. She didn’t want to save the galaxy or anything like that. She just wanted to command. She was doing well at the academy. She was getting good grades. It seemed like she was on the fast track to commanding a ship one day. Then it happened. She fell in love. He was a cadet pursuing a career in engineering. She never intended it to happen, but it did. Soon they married and before she knew it Bella was pregnant. She decided to leave the academy with only a year left. She couldn’t see being a mother and commanding her own ship. Her husband, Kaelan Axton, stayed in the academy and graduated. Unfortunately, a year into his first assignment his ship was destroyed in the Dominion War. They had only been married a year and a half. While mourning for the loss of her love she resolved to rejoin Starfleet Academy. There wasn’t any difficulty with her gaining reentrance and she finished her last year, leaving her daughter under the care of her mother and stepfather. To be honest she didn’t feel that she was one for maternal instinct. She loved her daughter, but had to do what she had to do. Besides, she felt that a starship was no place for a child to grow up. She graduated in 2373 at the rank of ensign.

Her first assignment was on the USS Sherman, a defiant class ship. She was assigned as one of the Sherman’s Flight Control Officers. The Sherman was tasked with escort duty of a major freight route. They saw some action, but not much. After nearly two years on the Sherman the Dominion War had ended. Bella was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and transferred to the USS Bismarck. The Bismarck was an interesting change of pace. It was a larger ship, and there were actual civilians there. After 2 years of service she was promoted to Assistant Chief Flight Control Officer. Then in 2379 she was promoted to Lieutenant and Chief Flight Control Officer for exemplary duty. After another three years the 2XO had taken an XO position on another ship and Bella was promoted as his replacement. Bella continued to be a good officer. Other than a few minor indiscretions her record was exemplary. So, when her CO and XO left she took the promotion to XO and Lt. Commander. After another 2 years she was contacted by her old XO and asked to take a temporary assignment as XO of the USS Archimedes.
