Externally Cassius favors his human heritage particularly his maternal grandfather in physical terms. At 6ft (1.82m) 220lbs (100kg) Cassius is solidly built without being overly muscled. He has dark brown, almost black hair but always keeps his head shaved and gray eyes that appear to color shift between shades of green and blue.

Personality

Cassius tends to have a laid back personality and hands off command style, giving those under his command room to succeed and fail while still maintaining a reasonable safety net. In his personal life he is open and friendly to all and has a helpful nature. He readily forgives but all appearance to the contrary he never forgets a favor or slight.

History

Cassius's father Tevas was a junior ambassador to earth at the Vulcan Consulate and could be considered a modern day V'tosh ka'tur or Vulcan without logic. Which isn't to say he's an emotional wingnut, on the contrary he can be very 'Mr. Logical Vulcan' right up until a crafty smile or unexpected belly laugh is displayed. His mother teaches various history courses at Starfleet Academy and Cassius has personally studied copious amounts of human and alien history, everything from the history of Ancient Greece, the first Bajoran Republic to the Klingon 'Dark Times' amongst many others.

Cassius had a fairly normal childhood for the most part he looked up to his wilder older sister Livia and they both watched out for there younger sibling Silvia. While Livia is more like her father and Silvia her mother Cassius combines there unique traits a little more evenly including his mother love of history and his father ability to put anyone at ease. Cassius was also quite physically adept and excelled at sports though not to the highest of levels. Unlike his siblings Cassius was very unsure of his future. Until the war with the Dominion broke out he had no clue what he would do with his life. As it was Cassius challenged some of his final high school classes for completion credits with special dispensation from teachers and faculty to be allowed to complete his schooling requirements enlist with Starfleet earlier than normal.

After a few quick months of greatly accelerated training Cassius was assigned to the Defiant class U.S.S Bellicose as a security officer. While not on duty or sleeping Cassius constantly drilled in security and tactical skills in addition to spending time with the ships doctor who was always short on supplies and crew where he became a competent field medic. He left while his high school girlfriend was 5 month pregnant with his daughter, the result of a "I may die out there" pre-deployment fling after they had already broken up.

Cassius worked his way up in the tactical department for a year when the ships CTO and TO died in a Jem'Hadar attack and he took over the tactical station mid battle allowing the ship to turn the tide of the Skirmish and escape. Due to troop levels he was given a field promotion and commission. After participating on the final assault on Cardassia of the war Cassius was assigned to a garrison and tasked with helping rebuild and keep the peace. At this time his commission was given official permanent status. He spent 8 years ground side were he was cited for performance multiple times. His commanders in particular relied on his abilities to work with Klingon, Romulan, Federation, Cardassian troop as well as civilians and getting them all to work peaceably with each other. During the 8 years time Cassius quietly worked on a novel, The Debt That All Pay, based on the history of his family throughout history and heavily based on the Cardassian repetitive epic style. It got decent to mediocre reviews with some critics hoping for a more polished follow up novel which is not forthcoming at this time considering how long it took to write the first.

With further troop reductions on Cardassia, Cassius was sent back to shipboard duty serving as ACTO on the U.S.S. Venture a Galaxy class starship where he served admirably until his reassignment to the Archimedes.
