Personality

Daria has an adaptive personality. Her primary desire is to create a comfortable yet productive environment. The majority of those who have worked for her describe her as a team leader in opposition to a manager or a supervisor. She makes sure that everyone knows their responsbilities and expects them to fulfill them. Outside of work, Daria has what can be described as a bubbly personality. She enjoys the company of others and attempts to be social with everyone.

History

Daria was born into a traditional Starfleet family. Both of her parents were officers as were her three older brothers. Unlike her brothers, Daria's parents didn't pressure her to join Starfleet nor did they expect her to be as competitive as her brothers. It was this lack of expectation that drove Daria to succeed. She felt that she was just as good if not better than her brothers and wanted to prove it to everyone.

At the Acadmey while excelling at her engineering studies, Daria competed in many other activities. She was a member of the Academy cross country team, swimming team, golf team, and participated in the Academy marathon. She was very active in her social life as well, making many friends that have lasted.

Daria has been through some of the worst disasters in modern Federation history and has used that information to work with some of the greatest engineering minds in the fleet to prevent future disasters. The Bellepheron, her first assignment, was destroied in the Battle of Wolf 359. After the battle, Daria was transferred to Utopia Planitia to assist in research and design against further Borg incursions. Satisfied with her contributions, she transferred back out into the fleet to get some field time under her belt. As an officer aboard the Montwood, she served as the ships Assistant Chief, Acting Chief, and then Chief Engineering Officer during the Dominion War. After her time aboard the Montwood, she transferred back to Utopia Planitia as a Production Specialist to assist in the fleet rebuilding effort. Eight years of starship production made Daria feel out of touch with the rest of the fleet. To fill an immediate vacancy, she took a teaching position at the Academy for a year, but still yearned to be back on a starship. After a year of teaching, she put her name in the assignment pool and requested a starship assignment.

Never married or engaged, Daria enjoys her personal independence. It is likely this overbearing desire for independence that has prevented her from settling down. To say that she is a loner however is an inaccurate analysis. Daria is merely an individual who appreciates a relationship of equals instead of codependents.
