Jakob Turner

Jakob (Jake) Turner is a charismatic, sexy and all round nasty piece of work. He is a former Starfleet Officer and served with then Lieutenant JG Nathan Geiger on USS Hercules under the command of then Captain Eliza Speight. Jake might have been a Lieutenant while on duty, but off he was involved in smuggling and other shady deals. He often enlisted the help of his pal Nathan Geiger whom he would refer to as Nathe, just to help with hauling and other minor things. They had a sometimes sexual relationship.

It wasn't until 2370 that Jake and Nathan parted ways. It is believed that a virus they had smuggled on board had mutated and escaped confinement. It quickly infected some of the crew, turning them into something akin to zombies. Those infected then turned on their fellow crewmembers. During this incident those infected all died along with Nathan's sister whom he accidentally disintegrated with a faulty phaser. It is believed that Jake had tampered with said phaser before giving it to Nathan.

Not much is known of Jake's activities after this time until he resurfaced on Starbase 50 in 2384. He gatecrashed a party that was being held for the crew of Archimedes in an attempt to lure Nathan away. He later used an alien device on Nathan (in the form of a green stone with a gold sigil, tied to a thong) which suppressed the last 14 years of the man's memories along with his personality. While Nathan still looked 40 he was actually thinking and behaving like his 26 year old self. This was all part of Jake's plan to make Nathan more compliant so he could stow away on board Archimedes while it salvaged a Slaver vessel. His clients wanted him to acquire what was on that vessel. This plan was foiled when Nathan's younger self discovered the ruse and beat the crap out of Jake.

Jake returned again in 2385 when he helped orchestrate the theft of Archimedes. He along with colleague Eccleston and Sytar Jackson stole the vessel while it was orbiting Risa and contained only a skeleton crew. It should be noted that Jake used the journey time to strangle Clara Kochanski and Annikafiore Szerda and space their bodies for those pursuing them. As it turned out they were all working for Doctor Luton Powell, the crazed holographic scientist who had perfected his research and was possessing the body of Rear Admiral Eliza Speight on Starbase 50.

Jake briefly took then Lieutenant Serenity Phillips hostage in the arboretum on Starbase 50 and negotiated her release to Nathan on the condition that Nathan leaves the Starbase immediately. He left Serenity unharmed and it also appears he left the Starbase as after the ordeal there he was never found...
