Kendra is a petite woman, but what she lacks in build, she more than makes up for in presence. Her long straight hair is shoulder length, and it lies flat; a source of frustration for her. She isn't overweight, but Kendra does carry a few extra pounds that she doesn't like, but is rather proud of her hour glass figure and it shows in her girly dresses she owns and wears often.
Personality
Kendra is a strong woman. She grew up as a single child, raised by her father, Judge Advocate-General Culverton T. Smith. She has always been an independent woman and is always quick to argue her point and be relentless about it. While Kendra never has issues with admitting her mistakes, she always feels a bit defensive about it. Despite Kendra's natural leadership ability, she has always seen herself in supporting roles. Her strengths lay with the management of crew on an administrative aspect, and she flourishes in her role as a career Executive Officer.
History
Kendra was born and raised in San Francisco, Earth. Her mother, a famous Opera singer was claimed by Iverson's Disease when Kendra was eight years old. She was raised by her father, then Fleet Advocate C.T Smith. Kendra was a normal girl, if not a little high strung. Save for the occasional rebellious act of her youth, Kendra got along very well with her father. When Kendra had decided to quit law school and focus on her aspirations to be a Starfleet Officer, her father showed support if not a little disappointment. Starfleet meant travel after all, and VA Smith wasn't looking forward to that.
After Kendra joined Starfleet it wasn't soon after that she found her calling with the diplomatic corps. She excelled in negotiations and was known for her shrewd dealings with races that were not as well understood to the Federation. It wasn't long before Kendra was heading up her own diplomatic team on Starbase 50. When the Dominion War broke out, Kendra was one of the ones selected to work with the negotiators. She handled more than a dozen armistices between factions all over the alpha quadrant that wanted in on the war. She emerged as a promising candidate for a command staff position, and when the war was over she was approached to take an Executive Officer position.
In 2375 Kendra assumed the XO spot on the USS Sputnik. She remained in her position for five years. It didn't come as a surprise when Kendra was asked to accept a posting on the USS Bismarck. Rumour had it that the CO of the Sputnik was an old war horse and didn't take kindly to Kendra's constant attention to detail, calling him on regulations ignored, or simply helping him to think outside the box, prompted the CO to get rid of her. Luckily the Bismarck CO was rather green and Kendra's guidance and advice was well received, she remained on the Bismarck for four years. In 2384 her CO was promoted to Commodore and was being moved to a different ship to head up a Task Group. Rather than accept positions of CO for various ships, Kendra decided to go on vacation on Risa before looking for another Executive Officer position. After a wild stint involving a very elaborate space chase and out of control holograms, and six months of duldrums, Kendra accepted the XO position of the USS Archimedes.
