2385: Three days after their court martial our intrepid heroes are settling into the routine of life on Starbase 50. Everyone has a job to do. The lack of shields, internal sensors and superficial damage keeping across the base are keeping the few engineers and ops people busy. Luckily they are soon joined by an SCE team to help speed things up. Medical are tasked with identifying the bodies that had been flotsam not so long ago. Security are investigating how this nefarious plot was able to come to fruition. Add to that a swarm of pancake looking creatures affixing themselves to the hull and unexpected diplomats about to arrive.

Ensigns Tanaka, Sefton and Vash spend time studying a pancake creature. They conclude that it is very similar to an Earth sea cucumber (although not in external appearance), and quickly find out that it squirts a syrupy substance that is corrosive in nature. Then the bloody thing falls on top of Ensign Tanaka, trapping her there.

The diplomats reveal themselves to be the Gorn and Arnorians, a humanoid species on the very edge of Federation and Gorn territory. Everyone is ordered to attend a diplomatic banquet, to be held later that night.

It really is looking like a manic Monday...
