PNPC XO Idol

The short explanation:

The XO position will be rotated and held by PNPCs created by the crew. At the end of each mission the crew votes on the character's eventual demise.

The longer explanation:

Every player will have the opportunity to create a PNPC XO. This will last for a period of not more than two missions / shoreleaves (or one, depending on voting results). While each player is XO they will also have the OOC responsibilities that come with the role.

OOC responsibilities (during the duration of your reign) might include assistance with any of the following:

• Mission ideas / creation
• Handling applications
• Advertising
• Regular Newsletter
• Award recommendations
• Updating the wiki
• Maintaining the forum and access to the super secret command section
• Motivating other players (and Sarah)

Note: the temporary role might include the above. It's up to you and Sarah what you'll assist with, but remember that this is only for a short time and it'll help you understand what it takes to run (and help run) a sim, not to mention make Sarah's life easier Cheesy So don't freak out if the list looks too long or too hard, Sarah will handhold, as long as you hold her hand too! And she does know that no means no, so if you don't want to do something OOC let her know. They are optional extras.

Then what happens?

At the end of each mission a poll will be posted to decide the eventual demise of the PNPC.

Possible options could include:

• Grisly death
• Heroic death
• Transfer
• Surprise us!
• Make them a bad guy!

What type of PNPC XO do we want?

Any kind. The idea here is that IC we keep the idea alive that the XO position is cursed. This means we constantly have new people to interact with, we might love them, we might hate them, we might love to hate them! Anything is possible. I mean look at who we've had recently, a proper lady who is all for the rules and beliefs of Starfleet; and a lecherous, laid back relative of Eliza's. There is plenty of scope in there, from the competent to the not-so competent. Hell, they don't even have to be human. Let your imagination run wild!

What do I need?

There are two things you should be thinking about before your go. First off you'll need a bio, chat with Sarah about that first to make sure your idea can work. You might also want to come up with a mission idea (not required but it's cool if you have one). Enthusiasm also helps Cheesy

A rota will be drawn up and we'll work through that. New players will be added to the bottom of the list.

What if I'm not interested or don't have time?

You can always skip a turn, or switch with someone. Please let Sarah know as much in advance as you can so we can get the next one lined up. We'd like you to have a go though when it is your turn, it is meant to be fun. Don't let the above list put you off Cheesy

What about my PC?

What about them? They'll still be on board (or wherever we are), it's up to you if you want to play them just as much as you usually do, or temporarily make them your PNPC while you're playing XO.
