From Archimedes

Sciences

The Science Department is responsible for the collection and analysis of scientific data. This could be collected during missions or from research and independent studies. As the Archimedes is a Nova Class science vessel, she has a large compliment of diverse Starfleet and Civilian scientists aboard.

Stellar Cartography

Mapping of all spatial phenomena, and the implications of such phenomena. This can also include an element of Astrometrics, which entails maintaining, correcting and producing new stellar maps.

Biology

The study of exobiology, botany/agrobiology, zoology, molecular biology and other life sciences.

Social Sciences

The study of sociology, anthropology, archaeology, psychology, political science and history.

Physics

The study of matter, energy, space and time, as they relate to the forces that run the universe, such as gravity, electromagnetism, radiation and hyperspace.

Chemistry

The study of materials and substances, and the reactions of these with one another in real space.

Temporal Sciences

The study of the space-time continuum through observation and theorization of temporal mechanics, temporal physics, and temporal anomalies.
