Trysette

A traditional trysette

A trysette is a stringed instrument that is played with a bow. Moving a bow across the strings of a trysette causes a vibration that the instrument emits as sound. Depending on the tuning of the trysette, its sound can resemble that of a high-pitched Earth fiddle or a low-pitched Earth cello. The trysette's planet of origin is Betazed.

Aboard Archimedes, a trysette is often played by Cristobel Sefton in O'Malley's Lounge.
